Before applying for a visa, you must first apply for and acquire immigration permission to work in Ireland
To apply, you must have a work offer or an employment contract. Permission will only be granted for highly skilled jobs or if there is a shortage of skilled workers in Ireland.
If you do not have immigration permission, you will be unable to work in Ireland.

REQUIREMENTS OF WORKING IN IRELAND
Without an employment permit, citizens of the EEA (the EU includes Iceland, Norway, and Lichtenstein), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom can live and work in Ireland.
You must get authorization to live and work in Ireland if you are from a nation that is not part of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.

TYPES OF WORK PERMIT
All letters from a business, enterprise, or other organization should be written on official letterhead and include complete contact information so they can be verified. A complete postal address, name of contact, position within the organization, phone number (landline), website, and email address are required (email addresses such as Yahoo or Hotmail are not accepted).
Before applying for an Ireland work visa, a visa-subject foreign person must first find work in Ireland and then apply for an Ireland work permit from the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI).
1. Critical Skills Employment Permit
The Ireland Critical Skills Employment Permit is for highly talented overseas workers, with the goal of encouraging them to come to Ireland and fill skills shortages in particular high-skill suitable occupations.
Professionals in the domains of natural and social science, engineering, ICT, health, teaching and education, architecture, and others are eligible for the Critical Skills Employment Permit.
2. General Employment Permit
This Irish work permit is for occupations that do not meet the criteria for the Critical Skills permit. There is no list of occupations that are qualified for the General Employment visa. Unless your profession is on the list of "Ineligible Categories of Employment for Employment Permits," you can apply for this sort of Ireland work permit.
3. Intra-Company Transfer Employment Permit
The Ireland Intra-Company Transfer Employment Permit is for foreign workers who desire to transfer to an Irish branch of a company where they already work. Senior management, key workers, and trainees can use it.
4. Internship Employment Permit
The Ireland Internship Employment Permit enables full-time international students enrolled in a third-level educational institution outside of Ireland to acquire work experience in Ireland.
Internship job permits are only valid for 12 months and cannot be extended.

Age 16-17 - £4.62 an hour. Age 18-20 - £6.56 an hour. Age 21-22 - £8.36 an hour. Age 23+ - £8.91 an hour (National Living Wage).
