A Work Permit, sometimes known as a Work Visa, is a document that allows qualifying foreign nationals to work in Canada for a set length of time.
Only after receiving a job offer or an employment contract from a Canadian employer may people apply for a Work Visa. The company must acquire an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) from ESDC (Employment and Social Development Canada), which allows them to hire foreign skilled employees for jobs that cannot be filled by Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Process of applying Canadian Work Permit
Obtaining a work visa in Canada is usually a two-step process. In most circumstances, candidates will need a job offer before applying for a work permit in Canada.
Step 1:
In the great majority of circumstances, the initial step toward acquiring a Canadian work permit is to submit an application to Employment and Social Development Canada for a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) (ESDC).
Typically, the Canadian company must conduct domestic recruitment and show that no Canadian permanent residents or citizens are qualified for the position.
Step 2:
Following the issuance of a positive LMIA, the candidate can apply for a work permit in Canada.
Unless a worker holds an open work permit, work permits are employer-specific. A worker must obtain a new Work Permit before performing another job in Canada if they want to change employers. Work permits in Canada are similarly limited in term.
For both Canadian companies and temporary foreign workers, we handle the whole Canadian Work Permit process.
Work Permit Duration
In contrast to a conventional work permit, an open work permit does not designate a specific employment or employer. On most Canadian Work Permits, the employment and employer are both listed, limiting the holder to those circumstances while in Canada. An Open Work Permit holder can work for practically any employer in Canada in almost any capacity.
The candidate for an Open Work Permit does not need to have a job offer or a good Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). Open Work Permits can be filed for by the following people, according to Canadian immigration regulations:
Spouses or common-law spouses of temporary foreign employees in a National Occupation Classification (NOC) level 0, A, or B occupation;
Spouses or common-law partners of international students enrolled full-time;
International students who have recently completed their studies at a post-secondary institution in Canada
Average Salary Per Hour
The average work permit salary in Canada is $30,000 per year or $15.38 per hour.
Entry-level jobs start at $27,227 per year, with the experienced individuals earning up to $81,900 per year
Although the average Canadian income has risen across the country, this does not indicate that employees in all provinces and territories are paid the same. In traditionally strong provinces such as Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec, average wages remain high.
Energy and natural resources, banking and insurance, and scientific and technical services are the industries with the highest average yearly incomes in Canada.
